Your tablecloth has such interesting designs thanks to the walnuts. I like the effect. I also liked your hammered walnut cloth in the previous post. Interesting idea, to hammer. I'm wondering how permanent that is--will the greens wash out?

A lovely cloth. Thanks so much for stopping by today and for your kind words.

Nadia, the tablecloth is a poly/cotton blend so some of the woven design dyed and some resisted dyeing. I'm still experimenting with techniques, so it's always a learning process. I'm letting the hammered walnut cloth 'cure' (letting it dry into the fibers) for a week or so. Then I think I'll iron the cloth to set it. Experimenting. It may set the design or it may turn darker...not sure. It will most likely be used in a wall hanging, so multiple washings shouldn't be a problem.

And thank you so much for taking time to visit my 'thread' blog. I enjoy seeing what you're working on as well.

I'm glad I found your blog (stitching life). I feel like I'm among friends that I've never met. And thank you for the kind comment. It's always energizing to hear from other stitchers :o)
