a log cabin in my future

I have some UFO's (unfinished objects) in my sewing room. I haven't worked on the Halloween quilt (well, it's for 2012) and the blue/yellow quilt still needs binding --- but I'm already thinking ahead to the log cabin quilt I'll begin soon. These are the darks I've chosen, and I picked up some light yardage today. Now to get the binding done and make some Halloween headway before I get ahead of myself.

Hi, BJ. Cool fabrics for the darks. You'll have fun with the log cabin. It's such a satisfying design--simple yet distinctive.
best, nadia

I have a log cabin quilt made by my great aunt about 50+ years ago; some of the fabric is from a dress I wore when I was about 8 or 9. Yes, I'm looking forward to starting the new quilt. I'm glad that quilting techniques are streamlined now. But I greatly respect how quilts were once made from flour sacks, worn out clothing -- and they were mostly hand stitched, too. Thanks for visiting :o) I check in several times a week to see what you're doing.
