Halloween "Boo" quilt

Blogger is acting up (it might be me), so I haven't posted in a week...but I have been quilting.  Right now I'm working on the Halloween "Boo" quilt for my granddaughter.  She'll be 5 this October and I hope that she grows to like Halloween as much as her Mommy and I do.  I'm using 'stitch in the ditch' as the square outline and later I'll add pumpkins in the center of the orange squares.  I'm still getting used to my Janome machine...I love it more every time I use it.  I actually started pieceing this top last October after I picked up the black and orange "Boo" fabric.  So it has been an UFO for awhile.  Thanks to Leah Day at www.leahday.com for nudging me into finishing it.

Thanks :o) I hope to get a photo of her wrapped up in it with her new kitties, Max and Maya. And thanks for stopping by again. I see by your blog that you're always a busy lady....good for you, always living life to it's fullest.

Minding Momma, thanks for stopping by :o) I'm working on free motion stitching the pumpkins right now...experimenting with little stippling around the shapes. It's my second quilt to actually machine quilt myself, so I'm learning as I go. I'll post progress and the finished bound quilt soon. Thanks again :o)

I love the fabrics you chose. The green is perfect with the orange and black fabrics. What could be better than snuggling up with kitties, candy and this quilt on Halloween?!

Karen, thanks for the nice comment :o) That green fabric isn't a Halloween fabric, but it was jumping off the rack, saying "Pick me! Pick me!" I'm looking forward to seeing Little Miss Alannah wrapped up in the quilt with her kitties sleeping on the edge.
