Curious Cats

The next project is Curious Cats...just thinking...imagining...

UPDATE --- the fushia pink fades terribly!  I'm so glad that I prewash/preshrink my fabrics now -- I didn't always, so I guess I've dodged several dye bullets.  The dark yellow/brown batik faded a bit, but I've set all the colors with a vinegar/salt water bath.

Hi, BJ. What fun fabric. I bet you chuckle your way through the cat project! Also liked the fabric for your granddaughter's hat. Really cute and hat turned out adorable. Lucky kid!
best, nadia

Thanks, Nadia, for stopping by again! The hat was a bit more work than I had first thought, but I like the way it turned out...and I know that Little Miss Alannah will like it. She loves color and her favorite color is "glitter".

I've always been a cat person (well, we got a dog last year -- but that's another story).

My granddaughter (the lucky kid), age 4 1/2, picked out the cat fabric herself. She and her dad picked out the pink, purple and blue fabrics for sashing/borders/binding. However, instead of the traditional square blocks, I think I'll go a different route and tilt the cats within the quilt squares -- fun, fun. And I know I'll chuckle :o)
